Motivational Speaking

Every talk starts with a briefing -
never a template

Before we get into the individual offerings, one thing matters more than all of them: no two Witz Endz presentations are ever the same.

We don't have a set speech we dust off and re-deliver. Every keynote, workshop, seminar and session is built from the ground up, and it starts with a rigorous briefing with you. We want to understand your audience, your industry, the mood in the room, the outcome you're chasing, the in-jokes, the sacred cows, and what "a great result" looks like when everyone goes home. Then we research, shape, rehearse and tailor the content until it fits your event like it was made for it - because it was.

So treat the descriptions below as starting points. The format is real; the content is always yours.

Bees do not work alone; great businesses grow through teamwork, collaboration and shared goals

Keynote

The talk that sets the tone - and keeps them talking afterwards

A keynote is your headline act. It's the session that frames your whole event, lifts the energy in the room, and gives everyone a shared moment they'll still be quoting at the after-party. Martz delivers keynotes that blend real, hard-won business stories with genuine take-home value — the kind of talk that has a room laughing one minute and leaning in with a notepad the next.

Perfect for opening a conference, closing it on a high, or anchoring an awards night, annual meeting or industry gathering.

Typical length: 30 to 60 minutes, occasionally up to 90 with Q&A.

Audience and participation: Works for rooms of five, five hundred or five thousand. Primarily one-to-many - the audience is carried by the story and the energy — with light, natural interaction and plenty of humour. No death-by-PowerPoint.

Tailored to you: Built entirely around your theme, your people and your desired outcome, drawn from a thorough briefing beforehand. No two keynotes are ever the same.

Workshops

Roll up the sleeves and actually get things done

A workshop is where thinking turns into doing. These are hands-on, practical sessions where your people don't just listen - they participate, wrestle with real problems, and leave with decisions made and next steps written down. Martz keeps the energy high and the jargon low, so even the quiet ones in the room end up contributing.

Ideal for conferences, retreats, planning days, team offsites and industry events where you want tangible output, not just applause.

Typical length: 90 minutes to a full day, and sometimes run as a multi-session series.

Audience and participation: Best for smaller groups - up to around 25 to 30 - so everyone can get involved. Highly participative: discussion, exercises, group work and real-world application throughout.

Tailored to you: Content, exercises and outcomes are designed around your team's actual challenges, following a proper briefing. No two workshops are ever the same.

Plenary

One room, one message, everyone together

A plenary is the session everyone attends — the tent-pole moment that brings the whole conference back into one room around a single theme. It sits somewhere between a keynote and a seminar: substantial enough to carry real content and meaning, engaging enough to hold a full house. Martz uses it to unify the audience, land the big idea of the day, and set up everything that follows.

Ideal as the central set-piece of a multi-stream conference, an Annual General Meeting, or a sector-wide gathering.

Typical length: 45 to 75 minutes, and can incorporate a panel or moderated Q&A.

Audience and participation: Designed for the full conference audience, whatever the size. Mostly presentation-led, with structured interaction — polls, Q&A or a panel — where it adds value.

Tailored to you: Shaped around your conference theme and the message you need every delegate to leave with, developed through a detailed briefing. No two plenaries are ever the same.

Seminar

Deep, useful, and genuinely worth the seat time

A seminar is for when your audience wants to actually learn something they can use. It's content-rich and structured - a proper teaching session that unpacks a topic in depth, with room for questions and discussion along the way. Martz has a rare knack for making meaty material (yes, even finance or tax) clear, memorable and, dare we say it, enjoyable.

Ideal for professional development days, industry education sessions, member events and lunch-and-learns.

Typical length: 60 to 120 minutes.

Audience and participation: Suits small to mid-sized audiences. Structured and educational, with interactive Q&A and discussion, and take-home notes or resources where useful.

Tailored to you: The curriculum is built around what your audience actually needs to walk away knowing, following a thorough briefing. No two seminars are ever the same.

Facilitation

A steady hand to guide the room - without steering the outcome

Sometimes you don't need a speaker; you need someone to run the room so the group can do its best thinking. As a facilitator, Martz stays neutral on the content but firmly in charge of the process — drawing everyone out, keeping the conversation on track, managing the strong personalities, and making sure the day actually reaches decisions rather than just circling them.

Ideal for strategy days, board and leadership retreats, planning sessions, and any gathering where the group needs to align and decide.

Typical length: Half a day to a full day, sometimes across multiple sessions.

Audience and participation: Small to mid-sized groups. Almost entirely participative — the room does the work, Martz guides it — with clear outcomes and next steps captured before you finish.

Tailored to you: The agenda, exercises and approach are designed around your objectives and your people, following a careful briefing. No two facilitated sessions are ever the same.

Training

Build real, lasting capability in your people

Training is about skills that stick. Where a keynote inspires and a seminar teaches, training goes further — a structured, practical programme that builds genuine competence in your team and embeds it through practice, application and follow-up. Martz draws on four decades in real businesses to make sure what's taught actually works on Monday morning, not just in theory.

Ideal for owner and manager development, upskilling staff, finance-for-non-finance training, and building the capabilities your business needs to grow.

Typical length: From a half-day module to a multi-session programme delivered over weeks or months.

Audience and participation: Team-sized groups. Highly practical and hands-on, with exercises, real-world application, and reinforcement between sessions so the learning lands.

Tailored to you: The programme, modules and pace are built around your team's roles and skill gaps, following a proper briefing and needs assessment. No two training programmes are ever the same.

Master of Ceremonies

The safe pair of hands who makes your whole event shine

A great MC is the invisible thread that holds an event together. As your MC, Martz keeps everything running to time, links the segments seamlessly, reads the room, lifts the energy when it dips, and makes every speaker - and you, the organiser - look good. Warm, quick on his feet, and completely unflappable when the inevitable curveball arrives.

Ideal for conferences, awards nights, gala dinners, annual meetings and multi-speaker events.

Typical length: From a single evening or half-day through to a full multi-day conference.

Audience and participation: Any size of event. Martz works across the whole programme - welcoming, introducing, bridging, timing and closing — keeping the audience engaged from first word to last.

Tailored to you: Every introduction, link and running order is prepared around your programme and speakers, following a thorough briefing. No two events are ever run the same.

Retreats
We call them "Advances"

Step out of the business to move it forward

Step out of the business to move it forward.

We don't do retreats. You don't go into business to retreat. We call them Advances - because the whole point of stepping away is to come back further ahead than when you left.

An Advance is the big one: an immersive day, or a full weekend, where a team or leadership group gets out of the office, out of the noise, and into the thinking that never happens between emails. This is more than the facilitation described earlier — it's a whole experience, designed end to end. Martz weaves together facilitation, keynote moments, hands-on workshops, honest conversations, reflection and the social glue that turns a group of people into a team. The result is real alignment, real decisions, and momentum that lasts long after everyone's back at their desks.

Ideal for leadership teams, boards, partnerships and whole businesses at a turning point — setting strategy, resetting culture, planning a big year, or navigating change together.

Typical length: A full day, or a two-to-three-day weekend Advance. Often built around an overnight stay so the informal conversations — frequently where the magic happens — have room to breathe.

Audience and participation: Best for cohesive groups — leadership teams, boards or a whole small business. Deeply participative and immersive, blending structured sessions with downtime, and always working toward clear outcomes and a plan everyone owns.

Designed end to end: More than running the room, an Advance is architected — agenda, flow, sessions, energy and even the setting — around your objectives, your people and where you want to be on the other side. It all begins with a rigorous briefing, and no two Advances are ever the same.
